Lithium Pouch Cell (Soft Pack) | Innovative Power Supply for the Emerging IoT Industry!

With the rise of various intelligent “black technologies” of the IOT, long-life, maintenance-free lithium primary batteries have also entered the public’s field of vision. At present, there are four main forms of mainstream lithium primary batteries (also known as non-rechargeable lithium batteries): cylindrical, square, button and ultra-thin batteries. The pouch batteries use aluminum-plastic composite film as shell. The internal structure design can provide good current output capacity for applications with high pulse requirements. In the meanwihel, the characteristics of high capacity also greatly improve the service life of the equipment. In addition, they have wide application temperature range (-40°C-80°C) and also their whole life cycle does not need to be charged and maintained, etc.. Now Lithium Pouch Cell (Soft Pack) batteries are favored by customers in various industries.

Features of Lithium Pouch Cell (Soft Pack)

1. The working voltage is up to 2.5~3.0V, and one battery can replace two dry batteries.

2. The energy density is as high as 450Wh/kg. Capacity is more than 50% higher than that of steel-shell lithium batteries under the same weight which meets the lightweight needs of modern electronic products.

3. Good environmental adaptability(Can be used at -40~80°C).

4. The average self-discharge rate of 4 years does not exceed 1.5%, and it has a storage life of up to 10 years;

5. Good voltage response after long-term storage;

6. It has an ultra-thin shape and its maximum thickness can reach 0.45mm which can meet the requirements of modern electronic products.

7. Dimensions, capacity and load performance can be customized.

8. One kind of  lithium metal batteries with relatively good safety and reliability.

Applications

Lithium-manganese soft pack batteries are processed by winding positive and negative electrodes. Their positive and negative electrode contact area is larger compared to traditional button lithium batteries. And they can supply higher pulse current and power consumption especially suitable for applications that require pulse signal transmission. Maximum pulse current can reach 5A. Lithium pouch cells are widely used in electronic price tags, highway CPC cards, 2.4G and 5.8G active electronic tags, personnel positioning, material tracking, wearable devices, smart homes, asset positioning and many other fields.
